Team Leader and Project Manager
Mechanical Design and Manufacturing
The Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Team designs, manufactures and optimizes the rover body ensuring a robust mechanical system intended to overcome the rough martian terrains. A soil collection mechanism and a robotic arm with multiple degrees of freedom are also developed by this sub-team to complete a wide variety of tasks in different competitions.
Project Leaders
General members
Electrical and Communications
The Electrical & Communication Team is responsible for the synergy among different electro-mechanical parts of the rover and ensures stable wireless communication with the base station. They design and develop the whole circuitry and the power distribution mechanism for the rover.
Project Leaders
Scientific Analysis
The Scientific Analysis Team conducts research and experimentation to find out and develop mechanisms to detect different environmental attributes and traces of extinct and extant life forms from rocks and soil samples. They collaborate with the mechanical and electrical sub-teams to develop the science module.
Project Leaders
Software and Autonomy
The Autonomous and Software Team develops the embedded software of the rover which processes the data read by various sensors and enables autonomy of the system. The sub-team maintains a Graphical User Interface to control the rover manually.
Project Leaders
Non-Technical Roles
The Media and Outreach Team is in charge of the non-technical aspects of Team Interplanetar. The sub-team manages public relations, finance, fundraising, event organization, advertisement, videography etc. to enable us to operate in the real world.
